Community Service at the South Los Angeles Spray and Neuter Clinic
I spent my time here cleaning up after animals, cleaning their own cage (for example: replacing newspaper that was too dirty), preparing their food, and serving them their food. Aside from this I also scrubbed and mopped the floor of the entire facility with the help of other volunteers.
This experience made me value the importance of hard work. Every thing you do for the animals matters, whether it's feeding them or cleaning their cage, it matters. The effort you give may not benefit you directly, but that's sort of the point, to try to find a way to improve the world around you and realize that you are making a difference for the better.
